Mark your calendar for this awesome event that incorporates the
largest known Golden Eagle migration in the lower US with lots of
raptor education and fun! Witness the largest known migration of
Golden Eagles in North America. Watch 17 species of raptors soar the
Bridger Mountain's knife-edge ridge. Festival activities include
slide shows on raptor identification, kids' programs and a birds of
prey presentation with ambassador eagles, owls, and hawks from the
Montana Raptor Center.
In Glasgow, located in northeastern Montana, the festival will
focus on the rich assortment of prairie birds in Montana that are
found from the area's wetlands, rivers, and grasslands. Field trips
to Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge, Medicine Lake National Wildlife
Refuge, and the Missouri Rvier will be featured. One Hundred and
Thirty Nine species of birds were observed during Glasgow's 2005 Bird
Festival.
